The Family Letter

For those that don't recall or missed it, I had an amusing exchange with a customer service rep at Verizon DSL a few weeks back. Today I ran into something along the same lines:

So, I was just over on the Church Pension Group's web site today, looking for an enrollment form for their 403(b) (a 401(k) for a nonprofit organization). I ended up at this form.

Notice anything missing under "state"?

Sigh. Apparently if you don't live in the continental US you don't count? Both Alaska and Hawaii aren't given as choices.

UPDATE: Six days later, after having commented both on the form itself and to the webmaster, Alaska and Hawaii are still not included. Nor have I heard back from them on either query, so I can only assume my documents are en route to Honolulu, Georgia. Sigh.
