The Family Letter

I just read an article by someone who looks at the issues facing the Anglican Communion in a new way. Okay, she does have a few flaws in the article. For example, gay priests aren't part of the issue¹, I've heard it argued that it is more about power than sex²… But still, I like the fact that she calls into question just whether this is really really about orthodoxy or tradition interested me.

Apparently it is okay to violate tradition in the defense of tradition?

1. Though I suspect they would be, if the gay bishop issue weren't overshadowing things. [back]

A while back I remember Rev Ref+ posting about eulogies at funerals, and various policies and feelings about the same. At least he didn't have to regulate the eulogies this much!

This raises the question: can we allow four-footed ducks to come to the table and share Eucharist? I've gotta tell you, until that question is settled, if any try to share Eucharist with me I'll stay in my pew, thank you very much! That'll show 'em!
