Monday Catchup
I think I need a new system. On Thursday evenings I generally tear off Friday through Sunday's entries and take them home, knowing I might not be in the office in that time frame. Then I blog Friday and Saturday, and lose Sunday's entry. So I think I'll start leaving Sunday in-place and just doing it with Monday's link.
Speaking of Monday's link, did you know that there's a hot-dog and sausage council? Neither did I. Now you do. It actually has a lot of useful hot-dog related information. I mean, who wouldn't want a brochure called "Frank facts about hot dogs?"
Now I'm craving a hot-dog. Great.
The weekend was a bit of a blur, literally. Turns out that steroids have side-effects that I was unaware of when I started taking them on Thursday. Apparently they help reduce the swelling where the dentist dug out my tooth and that, in turn, will speed recovery. Some of the side-effects listed are: "Stomach upset, headache, dizziness, trouble sleeping, or weight gain may occur." Yesterday morning during church I had the first one, and I've had a bit of dizziness on-and-off. Trouble sleeping, though, has been the big one. I really didn't sleep Thursday, got a bit more on Friday, no much Saturday, and did fairly well last night by forcing myself to just ignore the alarm. But still, I haven't had much sleep since Wednesday night, so things are still a bit blurry. Thankfully the doses are diminishing, and I take my last one tomorrow morning.
Not much else going on... The moving company sent me an e-mail today and I replied. Some time this week they'll come by to do a walk-through and determine if my estimate is correct. Next week I'll take a day or two to organize my various shipments and then they come to pack and move on Wednesday. Very exciting.
I also got an address and floor plan for my home in Oklahoma.[1] That's kind of fun. I'm definitely going to need to make a trip to IKEA when I get there, though... It is still a lot more house than I have furniture for!
